About the Role
A subsidiary of a leading Japanese insurance company is seeking a Real Asset Investment Associate to join its growing Alternatives / Real Assets team.
This role offers exposure to global real asset investments (U.S. & Europe) across sectors such as real estate, infrastructure, and agriculture, working closely with teams in Tokyo and London.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio reports to monitor investment performance
- Conduct real assets and macroeconomic research and present insights to senior management
- Support due diligence for commingled fund investments
- Participate in manager meetings and asset site visits
- Collaborate with operations team on investment-related processes
- Contribute to ESG initiatives and portfolio-level measurement
- Coordinate with global offices (Tokyo & London)
- Perform additional tasks as needed in a dynamic team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in real assets investing (institutional investor, asset manager, consultant, etc.)
- Solid understanding of financial metrics and investment concepts
- Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Experience with Power BI (DAX / Power Query) preferred
- VBA / Excel Macros experience is a plus
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative
