Working Location: Project Site – West Sumbawa
Working Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
Some of your duties will include:
- Responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget. The role provides cost analysis, forecasting, variance monitoring, and financial reporting for capital projects including engineering, procurement, and construction activities
- To monitor equipment performance and plan maintenance in order to ensure maximum utilization and efficiency of the equipment
- Monitor project expenditures to ensure they remain within budgetary constraints throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers and financial teams to develop project budgets, taking into account all relevant expenses, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Analyze cost data and trends to identify variances between budgeted and actual costs and investigate the reasons behind these variances.
- Prepare cost forecasts and estimates for future project phases, helping project teams anticipate potential cost overruns and take corrective actions.
- Generate regular reports detailing project cost performance, presenting findings to project stakeholders and management.
- Evaluate and process change orders or variations in project scope, assessing their impact on project costs and ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate favorable contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement cost control strategies and cost-saving measures to optimize project financial performance.
- Ensure that all financial practices and project expenditures comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify potential financial risks and work with project teams to develop risk mitigation plans
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Finance/Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in project control with 4 years of experience in project cost control or related financial roles, preferably within the relevant industry
- Able to monitor project expenditures against approved budgets, collaborate with project managers and finance teams to develop comprehensive budgets, analyze cost data to identify variances and root causes, and prepare cost forecasts and estimates for future project phases
- Able to generate, interpret, and present project cost performance reports; evaluate and process change orders with proper financial assessment and documentation; support procurement through contract reviews, pricing analysis, and supplier negotiations; and develop and implement effective cost‑control strategies and cost‑saving measures
- Able to ensure financial compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies; identify financial risks and propose effective mitigation plans; and perform additional assigned duties accurately and in a timely manner
- Demonstrates strong leadership by building trust, resolving conflicts effectively, fostering collaboration, driving team results, inspiring and developing others, leading organizational change, showing empathy, and making sound decisions aligned with organizational goals
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
