Responsibilities:

Manager Notes:

  • 8+ years of enterprise Program/Portfolio Management experience within large global organizations, preferably in pharma/life sciences IT
  • Strong executive presence with proven ability to drive complex cross-functional initiatives, manage stakeholders, and push programs to completion
  • Demonstrated “driver” mentality with expertise in program governance, strategic execution, risk management, and delivery accountability

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale enterprise IT programs and strategic initiatives within a global pharmaceutical organization
  • Drive program execution across cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, and executive stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain program governance structures, executive reporting, risk management processes, and delivery accountability
  • Facilitate executive-level meetings, steering committees, and strategic planning sessions
  • Develop and manage integrated program plans, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and resource coordination activities
  • Identify risks, issues, and roadblocks proactively and drive mitigation and resolution strategies to maintain delivery momentum
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and IT execution across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Create concise, executive-ready communications, presentations, dashboards, and status reporting materials
  • Drive organizational accountability by following through on action items, decisions, and deliverables across teams
  • Partner with senior leadership to prioritize initiatives, manage competing priorities, and support strategic decision-making
  • Support change management and organizational readiness activities associated with enterprise technology initiatives
  • Promote operational excellence, continuous improvement, and best practices in program and project delivery
  • Navigate ambiguity effectively while maintaining focus on outcomes, timelines, and business value delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 8+ years of Program or Project Management experience within large enterprise environments
  • Proven experience managing enterprise IT programs within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success operating in highly matrixed global organizations and influencing senior executive stakeholders
  • Strong "driver” mentality with the ability to take ownership, create momentum, and push initiatives through completion
  • Exceptional executive presence with strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivery timelines
  • Strong understanding of program governance, risk management, dependency management, and strategic planning processes
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and navigate organizational complexity with confidence and professionalism
  • Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or related certifications preferred
  • Experience supporting global digital transformation, enterprise systems, or strategic IT initiatives preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-visibility environments with demanding stakeholders
