Overview
Product Manager Jobs in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam at Timo Digital Bank by BVBank
Title: Product Manager
Company: Timo Digital Bank by BVBank
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
About the role
We are hiring two experienced Product Managers to own end-to-end product delivery across Timo's core domains. This is not a hand-off role — you will drive the full lifecycle from discovery through to post-launch impact, embedded daily with engineering, QA, design, and data teams.
What sets this role apart: you will own outcomes, not just outputs. On any given day, you may be zooming out to shape a product strategy and zooming in to resolve a specific API integration blocker — sometimes in the same afternoon. You will also serve as the coordination hub for internal stakeholders and external partners.
We're looking for someone who is structured but adaptive, rigorous with documentation but not bureaucratic, and genuinely curious about building better financial products for Vietnamese consumers.
What you'll own
Product Delivery & Execution
- Full product lifecycle ownership: Discovery, PRD specification, design review, development tracking, UAT coordination, release management, and post-launch performance monitoring — you are accountable across all of it.
- Daily embedded execution: Work side-by-side with engineering and QA to translate requirements into shippable solutions, prioritize the backlog in real time, and unblock the team without bureaucratic overhead.
- Continuous iteration: Drive improvements to live features by analysing user behaviour data, support ticket patterns, and business performance metrics. Launch is not the finish line.
Stakeholder Coordination & Orchestration
- Cross-functional coordination hub: You are the primary alignment point between engineering, design, data/analytics, legal, compliance, and business operations — ensuring all functions move in the same direction with shared clarity on scope, timeline, and decisions.
- External partner management: Manage dependencies and communications with regulator, vendors, and third-party integrators. Translate internal product decisions into professional external-facing proposals and correspondence.
- Structured meeting leadership; Prepare and lead stakeholder alignment meetings. Produce concise, well-structured Meeting Minutes (MoM) with clear action items, owners, and deadlines — every time, without exception.
Strategic Contribution
- Market intelligence: Identify product gaps, opportunities, and competitive benchmarks in Vietnam's digital banking and fintech landscape. Bring a perspective — not just a summary.
- Metric ownership: Define success KPIs for every initiative before development begins. Own tracking, measurement, and post-launch reporting. If you can't measure it, you can't improve it.
- Executive support: Support the Head of Product with business cases, executive-level updates, and strategic proposals for senior leadership. Quality and clarity of thinking matters as much as output volume.
What we are looking for
Must-Have
- 3–5 years of product management experience in fintech, digital banking, payments, or a closely related technology domain.
- Demonstrated end-to-end shipping track record: concept → PRD → production release, in cross-functional team environments. We will ask you to walk us through a specific example.
- Strong command of Kanban/Agile/Scrum processes, with the confidence to engage directly with engineers on technical trade-offs, API design, and system architecture — not just requirements-writing.
- Excellent written and verbal English: professional-grade documentation, stakeholder proposals, and external correspondence.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities without losing rigor or clarity.
- Structured, first-principles problem-solving: you break complex problems into actionable components and communicate them so clearly that others can act without asking for clarification.
- Proficient with product and collaboration tools: Jira (or equivalent), Figma, Confluence.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in regulated environments where product decisions intersect with compliance, legal review, or banking regulations.
- Hands-on analytics platform experience: Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar — beyond reading dashboards, to defining and interpreting experiment results.
- Familiarity with Vietnam's payment infrastructure: NAPAS, VietQR, payment gateway integrations, or credit/lending product mechanics.
- Vietnamese language proficiency — a meaningful advantage for local stakeholder engagement and customer insight.
