Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Procurement Specialist located in Damascus. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement processes, sourcing materials and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Other responsibilities include inventory management, vendor relationship management, and adherence to procurement policies and budgeting guidelines.
Qualifications
- Procurement and Sourcing abilities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and cost optimization
- Strong skills in Inventory Management and Supply Chain Coordination
- Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills for tracking and managing orders and documentation
- Proficiency in using Procurement Software and understanding relevant financial guidelines
- Ability to evaluate suppliers and manage vendor relationships effectively
- Strong Communication and Problem-Solving skills to resolve procurement issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Prior experience in procurement is preferred but not mandatory
- Understanding of compliance regulations and ethical sourcing practices is an asset
