Position Summary
As the CAPEX Buyer, you are responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing procurement activities related to capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects within a food manufacturing environment. You will support plant expansion, equipment acquisition, engineering projects, utilities, construction, and automation initiatives while ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, compliance, and timely project execution. Also, you will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, QA, and external suppliers/contractors to deliver procurement solutions aligned with company objectives and food manufacturing standards.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end procurement for CAPEX projects, including equipment, construction, utilities, and automation systems
- Manage sourcing activities from RFQ/RFP to supplier selection, negotiation, and contract award
- Evaluate technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Build and manage supplier and contractor relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and compliance
- Coordinate closely with Engineering and Project teams to support timelines and project delivery
- Prepare bid evaluations, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure contract compliance
- Drive cost savings, efficiency improvements, and strategic sourcing initiatives
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to company policies, safety, and regulatory standards
What you'll bring
Your strong passion to learn and accelerate your career, backed up with the following experience and knowledge:
- Graduate of any 4-year Engineering course, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or other related field
- Minimum 3–5 years procurement experience in: Food manufacturing, FMCG, Industrial manufacturing, Engineering or project procurement
- Experience handling CAPEX or project procurement is highly preferred.
- Exposure to construction, MEPF, utilities, or production equipment sourcing is an advantage.
