I am working with a Leading Investment Firm who are looking for a Private Equity Associate 1 to join their team in San Francisco.
Job Brief:
- Evaluate new investment opportunities across energy transition, power infrastructure, distributed energy, environmental services, and other essential real asset sectors by reviewing CIMs, conducting market research, and analyzing industry trends.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating forecasts, valuation analyses, LBO models, and scenario analyses to assess investment returns, downside protection, and capital structure considerations.
- Support transaction execution from start to finish, coordinating due diligence workstreams, interacting with lenders, consultants, legal advisors, and management teams, and assisting with investment committee materials.
- Monitor portfolio company performance, analyze monthly operating results, track key infrastructure and energy metrics, identify value-creation initiatives, and assist with strategic add-on acquisition opportunities.
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and market analyses for senior leadership and investment committee discussions, with a focus on energy transition themes, infrastructure assets, and long-term cash flow characteristic.
