We are conducting a confidential search for a highly qualified Head of Investment Banking to join the senior leadership team of a newly proposed U.S.-based broker-dealer and investment banking platform.
This position is intended for experienced investment banking professionals seeking a senior leadership role in the formation and long-term development of an institutional-grade platform. Candidates based in New York / Manhattan are preferred; however, applicants located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, or other major U.S. financial markets will also be considered.
Minimum Professional Requirements
Qualified candidates must have at least two (2) years of direct investment banking experience, including experience in one or more of the following:
• IPO underwriting transactions
• Follow-on offerings and secondary offerings
• Equity capital markets transactions
• Financial modeling and valuation review
Additional experience preferred (not required):
• Debt / fixed-income underwriting
• M&A transaction experience (two years strongly preferred)
• Experience in one or more major sectors such as fintech, technology, financial services, insurance, energy, or real estate
• Experience managing investment banking engagements from origination through closing
Role & Responsibilities
The Head of Investment Banking will be expected to support the development and oversight of the firm’s future investment banking activities, including:
• Participation in due diligence oversight
• Review of financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
• Support in structuring and execution of capital markets transactions including IPOs, follow-ons, and private placements (optional), subject to regulatory approval
• Coordination with legal, accounting, and regulatory advisors
• Participation in underwriting and selling-group processes (when permitted)
• Assisting in client origination and relationship development
• Supporting and mentoring junior banking professionals
• Contributing to the firm’s long-term capital markets strategy
Important Regulatory Disclosure
The broker-dealer referenced in this posting is a proposed entity that has not yet received FINRA membership approval. Any activities described above will be undertaken only after all required regulatory approvals are obtained.
The selected candidate will be expected to participate in the firm’s membership process, working alongside veteran broker-dealer consultants and senior management.

Candidates should currently hold (or have held for at least one year):
• Series 24
• Series 79
• Series 63 (optional)

Compensation
Compensation is expected to be competitive and commensurate with experience and may include a combination of:
• Base salary
• Performance-based compensation
• Bonus eligibility
• Benefits package
• Equity participation (subject to applicable laws and approvals)
