We are seeking a Portfolio Controller (m/f/d) for a Luxembourg-based role within an independent, internationally active investment management firm. The organization manages multi-billion euro assets and operates across several long-term investment strategies with a focus on technology-enabled growth sectors and infrastructure-related assets across Europe, the US, and other international markets.
Responsibilities:
- Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting: Support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP. Assist with NAV calculations, fund account reconciliations, and monitoring of fund cash flows, including capital calls and distributions
- Portfolio Monitoring Support: Track financial performance of portfolio companies and ensure consistency of reported figures. Maintain fund-level and asset-level financial data
- Investor Reporting: Prepare investor reporting packages, including capital account statements and performance summaries. Support responses to investor inquiries and ad hoc reporting requests
- Transaction & Operations Support: Assist in the financial execution of investment and divestment processes. Support capital calls, drawdowns, and distribution workflows. Coordinate with fund administrators and custodians
- Audit & Compliance: Support audit processes through documentation preparation and responses to auditor requests. Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Process Improvement & Systems: Maintain and further develop financial models, templates, and reporting tools. Support data integrity across fund finance systems and contribute to process optimization
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in fund administration or within a Big Four audit firm
- Strong understanding of financial processes and reporting under LuxGAAP and IFRS
- Good knowledge of the private equity or alternative investments industry
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a small team environment
- High level of initiative and ownership in execution
