Position: Ottawa-Based Senior Accountant for Real Estate
Become a Senior Accountant in a prominent Ottawa real estate development firm. Lead financial operations and ensure compliance while managing multiple property accounts.
In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll report to the CFO and be integral to the financial health of the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining accurate ledgers, processing transactions, and providing insightful financial analyses. Candidates should have a good understanding of real estate accounting principles and enjoy working collaboratively in a mid-sized business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and update general ledgers for assigned properties
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and compliance
• Process monthly rent and managed tenant accounts
• Handle invoice processing and account reconciliations
• Prepare property tax and sales tax documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA designation is an asset
• Minimum 4 years’ accounting experience
• Strong grasp of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel and strong communication skills
