Morgan Stanley Private Credit (“MSPC”) is the corporate credit-investing business within the Private Credit & Equity segment of Morgan Stanley Investment Management. MSPC manages investments on behalf of third-party institutional and high net worth investors across a number of funds. MSPC has pockets of capital focused on investing in privately negotiated senior secured debt, junior debt and mezzanine debt investments to middle market corporate issuers as well as select secondary market credit investment opportunities.

Role Description:

MSPC is looking for an Analyst to join our Opportunistic Credit team. The candidate will play a critical and active role in the day-to-day support of the Fund’s IR and operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to be one of the key members of our team, work directly with the senior members of the team and position yourself for unique career growth opportunities. In this capacity the candidate will manage investment data/statistics, quantitative and qualitative reporting and assist with ad-hoc requests and projects. The candidate will also collaborate on an ongoing basis with MSPC’s external Fund Administrators, as well as our Finance, and Investor Services teams.

Role Responsibilities:

Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all investment data/statistics needed for accurate reporting

Assist and manage data reconciliation with Fund Administrators

Assist with preparation of standard quarterly reporting and individualized performance reporting (quantitative) for key institutional investors

Assist with automation and enhancement of current reporting and data management

Assist with data integration including position reconciliation

Coordinate responses to data requests during annual financial audits and act as liaison between the auditors and the business unit

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a quantitative discipline; strong academic background

1-2 years of related experience, (Private Credit or Private Equity experience plus)

Strong attention to detail

Ability to use data to create metrics and reporting, modeling experience plus

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with interest in bringing new ideas to increase efficiency of existing processes

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint

Highly motivated and intelligent with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong work ethic

Salary Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $130,000 per year for Associate level at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
