Position: Municipal Accountant for Financial Reporting and Compliance Management
Become a key player in the Finance Department as a Municipal Accountant. Bring accuracy in financial statements, payroll, and budgeting to ensure top-tier financial processes.

This Accountant role directly supports the town’s Treasurer in financial operations. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage payroll supervision, and carry out essential budgeting functions. Additionally, your expertise will help implement process improvements, enhancing service delivery within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and year-end projections

• Manage budget preparation and variance analysis

• Supervise payroll and ensure compliance

• Ensure capital assets account per public sector standards

• Conduct bank reconciliations and journal entries

Requirements:

• CPA designation is required

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience

• Municipal experience is a valuable asset

• Proficient in MS Office and SAGE 300

• Business Intelligence training preferred
