OVERVIEW
- Develop and execute corporate strategy and annual plans through market analysis, industry benchmarking, and identification of growth opportunities, strategic gaps, and portfolio optimization to drive long-term business performance.
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable initiatives, business cases, and implementation roadmaps, ensuring clear KPIs, effective execution, and achievement of timeline, budget, and outcome targets.
- Partner with business units to structure strategic initiatives, define performance metrics, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives and operating framework.
- Build and manage a robust M&A pipeline aligned with corporate strategy, including target identification, screening, evaluation, and prioritization of strategic investment opportunities.
- Lead financial modelling, valuation, and scenario analysis (DCF, comparables, IRR) to assess investment opportunities, support capital allocation decisions, and validate business cases.
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end due diligence and transaction processes across financial, commercial, operational, legal, and risk aspects, including deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, including advisors, auditors, and regulators, ensuring compliance with Bursa Malaysia requirements and alignment throughout M&A and capital market activities.
- Lead integration planning and execution, including synergy identification, tracking of revenue and cost synergies, and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth integration with minimal disruption.
- Provide data-driven insights, financial analysis, and strategic recommendations to support board papers, investment committees, and senior leadership decision-making.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging disruptions, enabling proactive strategic decision-making.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is an added advantage.
- 10 years of experience, preferably in Strategy / Management Consulting, Investment Banking and Corporate Strategy / Corporate Development
