Position Description

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week – subject to change at any time.

The Manager – Consulting Services is responsible for leading consulting engagements, driving client value, and managing teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role combines strategic thinking, business development, and operational execution to support client transformation initiatives.

  • Lead business transformation, process optimization, and strategic improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze current-state processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend scalable solutions based on industry best practices.
  • Drive end-to-end process improvement initiatives, including process mapping, root cause analysis, KPI definition, and performance optimization.
  • Lead change management activities for complex initiatives, ensuring stakeholder alignment, adoption, and successful implementation.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to solve business problems, define future-state processes, and enable decision-making.
  • Provide strategic consulting support through business analysis, transformation planning, and operational excellence recommendations.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end consulting engagements, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
  • Understand client business needs and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong, trusted relationships
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed scope, budget, and timelines
  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Manage and mentor consulting teams, including analysts and senior consultants
  • Allocate resources effectively and oversee project staffing
  • Provide performance feedback, coaching, and career development support
  • Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing and new clients
  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, and client presentations
  • Contribute to revenue growth and account expansion strategies
  • Strategy & Advisory
  • Provide strategic insights based on industry trends, data analysis, and best practices
  • Drive digital transformation, process improvement, or organizational change initiatives
  • Develop frameworks, methodologies, and reusable assets
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with senior client stakeholders (Directors, VPs, C-level)
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes effectively
  • Manage expectations and resolve issues proactively
  • Quality & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to consulting methodologies and quality standards
  • Manage project risks, budgets, and compliance requirements
  • Conduct regular project reviews and implement continuous improvements

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, or relevant industry
  • Proven experience managing client engagements and teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

"CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,000–$155,000. This role is an existing vacancy."
