The Role
We are looking for high-calibre candidates with a growth mindset to join our team as Manager / Associate. You will work on a wide variety of special cases while helping to design and deploy AI‑driven workflows, gaining hands‑on experience in complex deals, regulatory processes and cutting‑edge productivity tools that will position you strongly for the future of corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support special-situation and regulatory-driven corporate finance engagements, including suspensions/resumptions, takeovers and complex transactions
- Coordinate closely with clients, other professional parties and regulators to drive execution
- Conduct research, due diligence and financial/regulatory analysis
- Prepare high-quality reports and presentations in English and Chinese
- Use advanced AI and productivity tools to enhance our service capabilities
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Pelican’s AI‑enabled execution processes and knowledge base
Requirements
- 3+ years of working experience in corporate finance, investment banking, legal, accounting or related advisory fields
- Strong planning and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure
- Excellent report‑writing skills in both English and Chinese
- Proven proficiency in research, presentation and due diligence
- Strong interest in technology and willingness to use AI‑based productivity tools
- Solid working knowledge of the Hong Kong Takeovers Code and Listing Rules
- Experience in litigation support, the Companies Ordinance and/or the Securities and Futures Ordinance is an advantage
- A good communicator and negotiator, with a collaborative mindset
- Current holder of SFC Type 6 license preferred
