Job Overview

We are hiring a Manager / Assistant Manager, Finance to oversee finance operations within a dynamic, high-volume business environment. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong experience in financial operations, particularly in Accounts Payable, cashflow management, and coordination with shared service teams.

The role will be based in a shipyard environment (West) with regular interaction with HQ (Central).

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations & Controls

  • Oversee daily finance operations and ensure alignment with company policies, controls, and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Review and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and control

Accounts Payable & Process Improvement

  • Lead and optimise Accounts Payable processes, including invoice and payment processing
  • Work closely with Shared Service Centre (SSC) to ensure smooth and accurate operations
  • Drive process improvements in high-volume transaction environments

Cashflow & Financial Management

  • Manage cashflow across entities, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations
  • Monitor financial risks including interest and funding requirements
  • Support working capital management

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with FP&A and GL teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and banking partners
  • Support business units with financial insights and operational decisions

Projects & Ad-hoc

  • Participate in finance transformation and improvement projects
  • Support ad-hoc finance initiatives as required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance operations
  • Experience in high-volume, project-based industries such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Oil & Gas, or Marine preferred
  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable and Shared Service Centre (SSC) environment
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management
  • Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience is an advantage
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
