A leading mining organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for an initial three month contract. This role is ideal for someone who is available immediately and wants to join a well structured finance team within a respected and stable business in the resources sector. You will play an important role in month end delivery, stakeholder engagement and financial analysis. The position suits someone who is hands on, confident working with data and able to build strong relationships quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with operational and finance stakeholders to ensure accurate financial inputs ahead of month end
- Prepare and process month end journals Analyse month end results and prepare clear and concise commentary
- Engage with stakeholders to coordinate forecasts and budgets
- Manage and interpret large data sets to support reporting and planning
- Assist with process improvements and ad hoc analysis
Skills and Experience
- CPA or CA qualified
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI
- Able to manage and analyse large data sets High attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills SAP experience is desirable
- Mining or resources sector experience is beneficial but not essential
