The Management Accountant’s responsibilities include:
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing key insights to stakeholders.
- Manage financial reporting (monthly and yearly), including variance analysis and commentary.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support on projects.
- Assist with year‑end audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Profile
A Successful Management Accountant Should Have
- A professional accounting qualification or actively studying (e.g., ACCA or CIMA).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in management accounting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
