Our client, a leading global workspace solutions and furniture manufacturing business, is looking to appoint an experienced Logistics Manager to join their Mumbai team. The business is internationally recognised for delivering high-quality workplace and interior solutions across global markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with strong experience in supply chain coordination, import management, and vendor operations, ideally gained within the manufacturing, furniture, or interiors sector.
The Role
The Logistics Manager will take ownership of end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods across import and domestic channels while maintaining full compliance with customs and statutory requirements.
This role will work closely with Project, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to support business delivery timelines and optimise costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import and domestic shipments from suppliers to warehouse / project locations
- Coordinate freight forwarding, transportation, and delivery schedules
- Handle purchase orders, shipment tracking, and vendor coordination
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution
- Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, import/export documentation, and statutory requirements
- Manage SEZ / STPI documentation and compliance processes
- Oversee shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs paperwork
- Partner with Project, Finance, and Operations teams to align delivery schedules with project timelines
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost efficiency and process improvements
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, and vendor escalations
- Maintain accurate logistics records and reporting dashboards
- Drive continuous improvement across supply chain and logistics processes
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in logistics / supply chain management
- Preferably from manufacturing, furniture, workplace solutions, or interiors
- Strong knowledge of import/export operations
- Proven experience handling SEZ / STPI compliance and documentation
- Experience with purchase orders, vendor management, and shipment coordination
- Strong understanding of customs procedures and statutory compliance
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to improve cost efficiency
- Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate
