Company: Falck

Location: Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark

Job Description

To help ensure high-quality accounting and reporting across our Nordic entities, we are looking for a Lead Financial Controller to join our Global Record to Report team. The position can be based out of Copenhagen or Aarhus, as we are a team working across office sites.

You will be part of a global finance organisation with a strong focus on standardisation, automation and smart use of data. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of RtR Nordics, finance colleagues across Falck and our external business process outsourcing (BPO) partner.

At Falck, you can bring care into your career by building future-proof finance processes that support our colleagues, our business and the people we serve.

Your Focus And Key Responsibilities Will Be To

  • Ensure robust and compliant accounting processes within the RtR area for the Nordic entities, including ownership of selected RtR processes, documentation, controls, statutory reporting, tax reporting and Treasury back office tasks
  • Drive the day-to-day collaboration with our BPO partner, including performance follow-up, KPI and SLA monitoring, and continuous optimisation of the outsourced scope
  • Secure high-quality and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and follow-up on deliverables in cooperation with the BPO team and local finance
  • Translate accounting requirements into standardised and scalable processes and controls that can be executed efficiently in a global, partly outsourced setup
  • Lead and participate in initiatives to design and implement AI-enabled solutions in the accounting area – from idea and concept to practical deployment and adoption
  • Act as a trusted sparring partner for finance colleagues on complex accounting issues, process optimisation opportunities, system improvements and business change

We care about your personal growth. At Falck, you will build and deepen your expertise through collaboration, development and meaningful assignments that help improve how we work.

As such, you might not be seasoned in all aspects of the role yet – but to set you up for success, we imagine that you are motivated by combining strong accounting skills with a transformation and optimisation mindset. You are comfortable working in an international environment with many stakeholders, and you thrive in a role where you both deliver operationally and drive change.

As Such, You Hold

  • A master’s degree in finance, accounting, auditing or a similar field
  • 4–5 years of experience in controlling, consolidation or finance process improvement
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles, preferably with IFRS experience
  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, outsourcing, BPO or shared service centers
  • Curiosity about how technology, automation and AI can improve finance processes
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently in English
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build trust and follow through on commitments
