Position Summary:
The KYC/CIP Intern will support the onboarding reviews and quality control processes for new and existing client accounts. The role provides exposure to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices related to customer identification, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection, review, and validation of KYC/CIP documentation for account onboarding and maintenance
- Perform preliminary screenings, including sanctions, adverse media, and internal database checks
- Identify documentation gaps and follow up with internal stakeholders, as needed
- Maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with internal policies and audit requirements
- Support account post-reviews and quality control (QC) reviews to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards
- Assist with periodic reviews, remediation efforts follow ups and reviews, and other compliance-related projects
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
