Join the personal investments division of a reputable asset management firm in Cape Town. Build client relationships, grow assets and support the sale of CFM’s retail products through linked product companies, broker consultants and independent financial advisers. This role suits a confident, articulate professional who knows how to turn relationships into results, spotting opportunities others miss, building trust that sticks and driving growth while keeping clients front and centre.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct client visits and virtual presentations to clients and broker networks, sometimes supported by a Portfolio Manager. The initiative is national and may require servicing clients in outlying regions.
- Prepare client communications, including performance reporting and explanations.
- Grow assets from existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Manage and develop client accounts of varying sizes.
- Analyse client needs to assess suitability of Coronation funds.
- Stay informed on industry, competitor, and market trends to engage clients effectively.
- Analyse target markets to identify viable segments and shape strategy.
- Maintain and update the client database using the MIS system.
Ideal Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a client servicing or sales role.
- Experience gained within asset management, IFA, insurance, or linked product markets preferred.
- Other relevant industry experience will be considered.
- Strong interest in and understanding of investments required.
Ideal Qualifications
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in law or commerce is required with majors
- in Finance, Investments, Law or other related fields.
- A completed Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification advantageous, if not yet completed, this will be required upon appointment.
Competencies & Personality Attributes
- Ability to build and sustain profitable client relationships.
Systems Knowledge
- Experience with virtual communication platforms e.g. MS Teams, Zoom advantageous.
- Experience using a client database or CRM systems advantageous.
Ideal Competencies/skills
- Afrikaans language capability (advantageous).
