Role Description

We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, business analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities. This role plays an important part in providing accurate financial insights that support operational efficiency, strategic planning, and informed decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with finance professionals and cross-functional teams to analyze financial information, monitor business performance, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

The Junior Financial Analyst will assist in collecting, organizing, validating, and interpreting financial and operational data from multiple business functions. Responsibilities include preparing recurring financial reports, monitoring budgets, analyzing expenses and revenue trends, performing variance analysis, and developing meaningful financial summaries for management review. The role also supports monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles by ensuring financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered within established timelines.

The position involves building and maintaining financial models, preparing forecasts, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and supporting budgeting activities. The Junior Financial Analyst will identify financial trends, evaluate business performance, analyze profitability, and provide recommendations that improve financial planning and operational effectiveness. The role also includes supporting business case development, investment evaluations, and cost optimization initiatives through structured financial analysis.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining financial databases, validating data integrity, preparing dashboards and management presentations, reconciling financial information, documenting analytical methodologies, and supporting audit preparation. The Junior Financial Analyst will collaborate with accounting, operations, procurement, sales, and business leadership teams to ensure financial reporting aligns with organizational objectives and supports data-driven decision-making.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will communicate financial findings clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, contribute to reporting automation initiatives, improve analytical processes, and support the continuous enhancement of financial systems and reporting practices. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to collect, organize, validate, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data from multiple business sources.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, PivotCharts, Power Query, lookup functions, financial formulas, dashboards, charts, and data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting systems, ERP platforms, and accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar financial applications is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar reporting platforms.
  • Understanding of key financial metrics including revenue, gross profit, operating margin, cash flow, return on investment, budget utilization, and profitability analysis.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports, dashboards, management presentations, executive summaries, and analytical documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of variance analysis, financial modeling, cost analysis, forecasting methodologies, and performance measurement techniques.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools for financial data processing and reporting is considered an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to investigate financial discrepancies and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.
