Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Finance Officer role based in Lagos. The Junior Finance Officer will support daily financial operations, including preparing and updating financial records, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, and helping with monthly and annual closing activities. The role involves supporting financial reporting processes, tracking expenses and revenues, and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on time. The Junior Finance Officer will assist in budget monitoring, variance analysis, and basic financial analysis to support decision-making. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams, responding to finance-related queries, and helping to maintain compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Finance, with familiarity in basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Ability to work with Financial Statements and support Financial Reporting activities.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or variances.
  • Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with colleagues and present financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software; experience with accounting or ERP software is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Lagos.
