Our Finance team partners closely with the business to deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting that supports decision-making and sustainable growth. We are looking for a Junior Finance Business Partner to join the team in Sydney.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted finance partner to project leaders and stakeholders, providing day to day project accounting support and contributing to reporting and analysis. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting the month-end close, and contributing to planning cycles.

  • Monitor and maintain accurate and up-to-date project financials, including budgets, actuals, profitability and accruals
  • Provide day-to-day project accounting support, ensuring timely billing, revenue recognition and cost capture
  • Prepare and distribute accurate and timely monthly management reports with clear variance analysis and actionable commentary
  • Assist with the month-end close, including journals, reconciliations and accruals
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, including data collection, validation and consolidation
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis for Management and/or Head Office, transforming data into meaningful insights
  • Maintain organised working papers and ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting, data quality and process efficiency, including identifying automation opportunities

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce (Accounting major) with or without prior experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • An enthusiastic team player with the ability to work to high-pressure deadlines alongside your team.
  • Organised, proactive and willing to learn, take initiative and follow through on tasks.
  • Customer service mindset when partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
