About The Role
As a Junior Data Analyst at Baly, you will support the business by transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive better operational and strategic decisions. You will work with data from multiple sources, ensuring its accuracy, identifying trends, and helping teams understand what the data is telling them—and why it matters.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, questioning assumptions, and validating findings to ensure every analysis is accurate, reliable, and actionable.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights
- Extract, clean, and analyze data using SQL to answer operational and business questions.
- Explore datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making.
- Investigate data anomalies and validate findings before presenting conclusions.
Data Quality & Validation
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of analytical outputs.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to identify inconsistencies.
- Apply critical thinking to understand not only what the data shows, but why it behaves that way.
- Continuously question assumptions and verify results through evidence.
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key business metrics.
- Support the creation of visualizations that communicate insights clearly.
- Assist in improving reporting processes and maintaining reporting accuracy.
Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking
- Break down complex business problems into structured analytical tasks.
- Apply logical thinking and programming concepts when working with data.
- Work comfortably with ambiguous problems by asking the right questions and investigating root causes.
- Contribute ideas that improve analytical processes and business understanding.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with different teams to understand business requirements.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support a data-driven culture by providing accurate and reliable analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, including JOINs, aggregations, and subqueries.
- Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, logic, and data structures.
- Strong analytical thinking and critical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a habit of validating and double-checking work.
- Ability to work independently and investigate problems with curiosity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other Business Intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with fast-paced operational environments.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
