A Broad and Development-Focused Role in Finance
Do you want to kickstart your career in controlling in a role where you get to work both operationally and analytically? We are now looking for a Junior Controller who wants to develop in both Business Controlling and Financial Controlling in a broad and educational role.
With us, you will be part of a modern finance team where we work in a structured way with a clear division of responsibilities between FP&A and Financial Control, which gives you good opportunities to develop in your role.
About the role
As a Junior Controller, you will work closely with our FP&A/Business Controller Lead and have a central role in ensuring high quality in financial reporting, analysis and follow-up. The role is operationally oriented with a strong focus on execution and data quality.
In addition to classic controlling tasks, you will also work with parts of the financial controlling and financial statement process, which gives you an unusually broad experience early in your career.
Your main tasks
Controlling & Analysis
- Participating in monthly financial statements
- Carry out cost center follow-up and variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Produce and distribute financial reports and dashboards
- Support in the development of business cases and financial analyses
- Ensuring quality in financial data and reporting
Financial controlling & accounting support
- Actively participate in the financial close process
- Prepare and post journal entries in the Jeeves ERP system
- Produce accounting and supporting documentation
- Perform account reconciliations
- Load and ensure quality of data in the Aaro consolidation system
- Support the accounting department when needed
System & process
- Work with master data and financial structures
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and working methods
- Participating in system-related tasks and development initiatives
- Manage stakeholder communication (internal and external) for sustainability data collection
Your profile
We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career and want to develop in controlling in a role where you get to learn broadly.
We believe you have:
- A degree in Economics/Finance
- A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in finance is required
- Basic understanding of financial flows and financial statement work
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Very good verbal and written English skills, as the corporate language is English and the role involves cooperation in an international environment
Meritorious:
- Experience with Jeeves, Aaro or similar systems
- Experience of working in an international environment
- Experience of working in a listed company or environment with high requirements for reporting (e.g. IFRS, external reporting or tight financial statement processes)
- Experience from auditing is an advantage
