Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Accountant with experience in the retail industry to support daily accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of handling routine accounting tasks while working closely with senior finance and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily accounting transactions and bookkeeping activities
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations
- Record retail sales transactions and support sales reconciliations
- Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
- Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist in preparing reports for management review
- Support audit requirements and compliance processes
- Coordinate with store operations, warehouse, and other departments as needed
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail industry
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo, or similar ERP systems is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills in English
- Must be currently based in Qatar with a valid QID
