Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations and client financial activities. This role is ideal for an early‑career accounting professional with a strong educational foundation and exposure to client‑facing accounting environments. The Junior Accountant will assist with general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting while working closely with senior accounting staff and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients
- Prepare and support journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules
- Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Support client billing, reporting, and transactional accounting activities
- Research and help resolve accounting discrepancies or client inquiries
- Maintain organized documentation to support audits and internal controls
- Collaborate with internal accounting teams and client stakeholders
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships or entry‑level roles
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting client accounting or client‑facing financial services (highly preferred)
- Exposure to GAAP concepts
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
- Experience working in a public accounting firm, professional services, or outsourced accounting environment
