KLM E&M Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of KLM Engineering & Maintenance and part of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, manages aircraft component stocks for Boeing 737s and 787s for regional customers in Asia and Oceania. With state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated team of professionals, we ensure exceptional service and support to our customers. Our primary activity is ensuring timely delivery of necessary parts to our customers, while also processing and dispatching unserviceable components for repair globally. Operating in 3 locations within Kuala Lumpur, we work closely with customers and leverage AFI KLM E&M’s global network for comprehensive support. As an integral part of AFI KLM E&M's 24/7 MRO operations, we handle requests from local and global operators.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Availability Controller located in Putrajaya. The Availability Controller will be responsible for handling customer requests and dispatching serviceable components to customer required location. The Availability Controller will work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless coordination and support for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize customer requests, ensuring timely and effective resolutions based on urgency and impact.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure adequate availability of components
  • Organize regular conference calls and meetings with the customers and internal team members to address open issues and backlogs.
  • Ensure that the required documentation and certificates are submitted to the customer
  • Ensure complete exchange information submitted by the customer in the portal

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Upkeep and live KLM Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct to be exemplary to others.
  • Carry out any other task as directed by the superior.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Aircraft Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related fields
  • Knowledge of aircraft components, especially Boeing 737 and 787 parts is beneficial
  • Experience in customer service operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in computer applications, able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Positive working attitude, quick learning and able to work independently
