We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Investment Specialist to join our Asset Management team. This role will be sitting in the Investment team as the SME for specific investment strategies, while also acting as the bridge to connect and provide support to the Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the investment specialist for assigned strategies, maintaining a deep understanding of portfolio construction, positioning, performance drivers, and market outlook for multi-asset, equity and fixed income asset classes.
- Partner closely with portfolio managers, sales and distribution teams to communicate investment views, portfolio updates, and market insights to existing and prospective clients.
- Lead and support client meetings, presentations, due diligence discussions, and roadshows, ensuring clear and compelling communication of the firm’s investment capabilities and value proposition.
- Develop, enhance, and tailor marketing materials, pitch books, presentations, and other client-facing content to support client engagement and business development initiatives.
- Prepare high-quality and timely responses to client requests for information, including RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs, in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Identify and anticipate client needs, and partner with internal teams to propose tailored investment solutions aligned with client objectives, constraints, and risk preferences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; CFA / PMP designation an advantage.
- 7+ years of experience in client coverage or business development within asset management or investment banking.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, investment strategies, and performance attribution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex financial information clearly to clients.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to identify client requirements and support the delivery of tailored investment solutions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Cantonese, Putonghua, and English.
