Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst Intern to join our team for the Fall semester. This internship provides hands-on exposure to live transactions, business development initiatives, financial analysis, and transaction execution. Interns will work directly with senior bankers and gain meaningful experience across all stages of the deal process.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in advising founder-owned businesses. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop technical and professional skills within a collaborative boutique investment banking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of live M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements
  • Conduct industry, market, and company research across a variety of sectors
  • Assist in building and maintaining financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses, and merger models
  • Prepare valuation analyses utilizing comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow (DCF), and other methodologies
  • Develop marketing materials, pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and buyer/investor lists
  • Analyze company financial statements, operating performance, and key business drivers
  • Assist with due diligence processes and transaction management activities
  • Monitor industry trends, transaction activity, and market developments
  • Support business development efforts, including prospect research and outreach preparation
  • Participate in internal discussions regarding transaction strategy, positioning, and client recommendations

Qualifications Required

  • Current undergraduate or grad student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong academic performance with demonstrated analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated interest in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or M&A

Preferred

  • Prior internship experience in investment banking, private equity, valuation, corporate development, consulting, or related fields
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Experience building financial models and performing valuation analyses
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis and accounting concepts
  • Experience using Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Bloomberg, or similar research platforms

Compensation

This position offers a stipend along with bonus offered at the end of the internship for high performers.
