Our client, a well‑established middle market investment bank, is seeking to add an experienced Investment Banking Associate to its Technology M&A team. This is an great opportunity for an Associate to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience executing sell‑side and buy‑side M&A transactions within the technology sector.
The platform is known for its strong deal flow, lean deal teams, and a culture that gives Associates true ownership and responsibility across the full transaction lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their M&A skill set and build a strong foundation of closed‑deal experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior bankers in the execution of middle market M&A transactions across the technology sector (no capital markets exposure)
- Lead financial analysis, valuation work, and modeling (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions)
- Prepare core marketing materials, including CIMs, management presentations, and buyer outreach materials
- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, including data rooms, Q&A, and interactions with buyers, management teams, and advisors
Candidate Profile
- 2-5 years of investment banking experience, ideally within a middle market or boutique platform
- Prior technology sector exposure strongly preferred (software, SaaS, IT services, internet, or tech‑enabled businesses)
- Demonstrated experience working on M&A transactions (sell‑side and/or buy‑side)
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with experience interfacing directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment
