Role Description

This role is designed for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, quantitatively strong, and excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume exposure to end-to-end transaction execution. This is a full-time, on-site position in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research and due diligence to develop a strong understanding of technology companies, sub-verticals, and markets
  • Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing company, industry, and market data
  • Developing a wide range of financial analyses and models used in mergers, acquisitions, and capital raise transactions
  • Building valuation models, including DCF, comparable company, precedent M&A, LBO, regression, and synergy analyses
  • Preparing operating models and KPI analyses, including metrics such as retention, LTV, and CAC
  • Building waterfall / funds flow models
  • Preparing materials used in transaction processes, including investment memoranda, executive summaries, management presentations, data books, pitchbooks, CIMs, and other marketing materials
  • Building and managing virtual data rooms
  • Processing NDAs
  • Coordinating with clients and prospective clients to gather due diligence materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and/or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience (must be already graduated by the time of application)
  • 0–2 years of experience in a finance or business role, particularly one with a strong quantitative focus (3.5 GPA or higher required for applicants without work experience)
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments while priorities shift frequently
