Role Description

The Investment Banking Analyst / Graduate Finance Program participant is responsible for supporting financial analysis, valuation, transaction execution, and strategic finance initiatives while developing a comprehensive foundation in investment banking and corporate finance. This role contributes to research, financial modeling, and analytical projects that support mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate finance, and business growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities include conducting financial, industry, and market research to evaluate business performance, competitive positioning, and investment opportunities. The role develops financial models for valuation, forecasting, scenario analysis, and transaction evaluation while supporting due diligence and financial analysis for strategic projects.

The position assists in preparing investment memoranda, pitch books, financial reports, presentations, and other materials used to support internal decision-making and client engagements. It analyzes financial statements, operating performance, and market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that influence strategic and investment decisions.

As part of a Graduate Finance Program, the role provides exposure to multiple finance disciplines, including financial planning and analysis, investment analysis, corporate finance, capital markets, treasury, and risk management. It participates in cross-functional projects, structured learning initiatives, and business improvement activities to develop strong analytical and commercial capabilities.

The role collaborates with finance professionals, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate analysis, maintain project timelines, and support strategic financial decision-making while adhering to high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial analysis, valuation methodologies, accounting principles, capital markets, and investment concepts. Ability to interpret financial statements and evaluate business performance using quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, financial modeling, forecasting, and presentation tools. Familiarity with financial databases, market research resources, and analytical software is advantageous.

Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial information and develop data-driven recommendations.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional financial reports, investment presentations, and analytical materials for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
