Platinum is partnering with a high-growth mid-market private credit platform as they expand their investment team. Their track record consists of over $2bio deployed into over 40 transactions since launch of the fund. They are a flexible and entrepreneurial environment with big ambitions to continue to scale and build.
The mandate includes flexibility to invest across the capital stack within the mid-market, with typical ticket sizes ranging from $50-200mio. The strategy includes senior debt through to junior debt and preferred equity for both sponsor backed, private and listed businesses. Deal types include M&A, growth capital, dividend recaps, asset backed finance and securitisation and special situations, giving you great exposure to a wide range of investment situations in the Australian landscape.
The role of an Associate in this team will include:
- Deal origination and screening
- Structuring and execution
- Financial modelling and valuation
- Developing commercial and financial due diligence
- Preparing IC materials and investment presentations
- Portfolio monitoring and value creation
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years’ experience in investment banking, private credit, special situations or leveraged finance
- Strong financial modelling skills with an ability to build LBO and 3 statement models from scratch
- Strong commerciality, an intellectual curiosity and comfort operating autonomously
- An eagerness to join an entrepreneurial environment and contribute to scaling a growing platform
