Our client is a leading European private equity investor seeking an ambitious Associate to join its Amsterdam office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside an experienced investment team, evaluating and executing investments across the Benelux market while supporting portfolio companies through their growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute private equity investments across a variety of industries.
- Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis and commercial due diligence.
- Prepare investment committee materials, presentations and investment memoranda.
- Conduct market research, industry analysis and target screening.
- Participate in transaction execution, including buy-side processes, negotiations and due diligence.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Build relationships with founders, advisers, banks and other investment professionals.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience gained at a top-tier Investment Bank, Strategy Consulting firm or Private Equity fund.
- Strong transaction experience in M&A, Private Equity or Corporate Finance.
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills (DCF, LBO, comparable companies and precedent transactions).
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong commercial mindset and attention to detail.
- Fluent Dutch and English (written and spoken) are essential.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline with an excellent academic record.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
