As an Investment Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the investment lifecycle, gaining exposure to deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management, all from the epicenter of New York’s thriving financial ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and analyze new investment opportunities across diverse stages and sectors.
- Perform detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis, and market research for potential investments.
- Support due diligence processes, including business, financial, and legal review of target companies.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal committees and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the negotiation and execution of investment transactions and deal structuring.
- Monitor and support the growth and strategy of portfolio companies, tracking KPIs and performance metrics.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, co-investors, and external advisors.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes relevant to the portfolio.
Must-Have Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or a related financial role.
- Proven financial analysis, modeling, and valuation expertise.
- Strong understanding of venture capital or private equity investment processes.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience supporting investments in early-stage technology or high-growth companies.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance considerations in private equity or venture capital transactions.
- Exposure to deal structuring and negotiation.
- Network within the venture capital, private equity, or startup community.
