Kerrisdale Capital is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join the firm’s investment team. The Analyst will work closely with the CIO on fundamental research on corporate securities of publicly traded companies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on public companies, industries, and competitive dynamics
- Analyze financial statements, earnings releases, investor presentations, regulatory filings, and other primary source materials
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
- Evaluate business quality, capital allocation, industry structure, and management incentives
- Prepare research memoranda, investment writeups, and presentation materials
- Present findings and recommendations to CIO
- Track portfolio developments and update models and underwriting as new information emerges
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, investment research, equity research, or private equity
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated interest in public markets and security analysis
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and pursue research with persistence and creativity
- Prior experience producing written investment work product of high analytical quality
- Comfortable operating in a demanding, high-expectation environment
