A highly regarded Family Office based in Houston is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Public Markets investment team. This individual will support senior investment professionals across public equity and broader market investment strategies, with direct exposure to portfolio management, investment research, and market analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience within investment banking, asset management, equity research, hedge funds, family offices, or related investment environments with strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental research and analysis across public equity and broader public market investment opportunities
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and investment materials
  • Monitor portfolio performance, market developments, macroeconomic trends, and company-specific news
  • Assist with investment due diligence, manager evaluation, and portfolio allocation analysis
  • Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for senior leadership and investment committees
  • Support ongoing portfolio reporting, performance tracking, and risk analysis
  • Work closely with senior investment professionals on strategic investment initiatives and special projects

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience within investment banking, equity research, asset management, hedge funds, family offices, or related investment roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required

Preferred Background

  • Experience covering public equities and broader capital markets preferred
  • CFA designation or progress toward CFA is a plus
  • Strong interest in investing, markets, and portfolio management
