Investment Analyst Opportunity
Austin, Texas | Hybrid Schedule
A growing investment management firm is seeking an Investment Analyst to support senior leadership in evaluating complex credit and real estate-related investments. This individual will work closely with a highly regarded investment professional and gain hands-on exposure to portfolio analysis, investment strategy, and executive-level decision making.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and cash flow analyses
- Monitor investment and portfolio performance versus expectations
- Support ongoing analysis and surveillance of existing investments
- Prepare forecasts, scenario analyses, and investment recommendations
- Partner with leadership, accounting, and operations teams on strategic initiatives
Investment Exposure
- Residential and commercial real estate-related assets
- Structured credit products including RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs
- Mortgage servicing rights and mortgage-related investments
- Distressed and specialty credit opportunities
- Alternative and less-liquid fixed income investments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or financial modeling
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to structured credit or mortgage-related investments
- Familiarity with RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, or mortgage servicing rights
- Interest in or pursuit of the CFA designation
- Experience with Power Query, SQL, or similar tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
