Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Investment Analyst role based in Ebene, Mauritius. The Investment Analyst will work closely with senior investment professionals to identify and evaluate high-conviction opportunities across global markets. The role spans multiple asset classes, including but not limited to equities, fixed income, derivatives, private credit and structured products.
Responsibilities include generating original investment ideas, conducting deep-dive company and industry research, monitoring macroeconomic developments, and identifying market dislocations, valuation anomalies, and event-driven opportunities. The analyst will be expected to challenge consensus views, develop investment theses, and assess potential risks and catalysts.
The role may involve building financial models, analyzing corporate actions, evaluating relative value opportunities, and supporting portfolio construction decisions. Analysts will contribute to internal investment discussions, prepare research reports and investment recommendations, and work alongside the investment team to source, refine, and execute high-conviction ideas.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of investment strategies, including long-short strategies, arbitrage, special situations, structured products, and alternative investments.
Requirements

- Have built investment-related projects, research reports, financial models, market dashboards, screening tools, or other independent work that demonstrates curiosity and initiative.
- Enjoy digging into businesses, industries, macroeconomic and political developments, arbitrage opportunities, or alternative investments.
- Can think independently rather than simply repeating consensus opinions.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect information across different asset classes and markets.
- Are comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data, and are willing to learn valuation and modeling techniques.
- Have strong written communication skills and can clearly explain an investment thesis or market view.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to challenge assumptions.
- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced investment environment.
- Value integrity, professionalism, and long-term thinking.
Preferred but not required:
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Progress toward CFA, CAIA, FRM, or similar professional qualifications.
- Experience with Python, data analysis, financial modeling, or quantitative research.
- Exposure to alternative assets such as private equity, private credit, digital assets, structured products, special situations, or emerging markets.
