The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.
Position Summary:
As a leadership role within Finance, this position collaborates with stakeholders and manages a team in order to drive Finance initiatives through accurate assessment and reporting of financial results. The position ensures
that Finance leadership is updated on team activities, needs, initiatives, etc. while providing superior
customer service for internal stakeholders. Manages accounting processes, providing data and guidance as needed. Interacts extensively with other members of the Finance department and managers/directors throughout the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Supports monthly, quarterly and year-end close, and ensures a clean and timely year-end audit. Prepares and reports out the financial analysis, forecasts and budgets for the assigned business unit.
2. Works with SSO staff to implement budget processes, budget software, financial reporting, and other processes as dictated by corporate policy.
3. Assesses, and reports out business financial performance. Works with Finance leadership to develop steps to improve performance. Monitors budget against actual expenditures, advises Finance leadership regarding significant discrepancies making appropriate recommendations as needed. Identifies problems quickly and offers ideas for resolution in a timely manner.
4. Performs financial analysis on new initiatives as needed.
5. Provides leadership and direction to department staff, developing and communicating clear performance expectations, monitoring work, and challenging individuals to achieve their potential. Strives to hire and retain the highest quality staff. Ensures that hiring decisions, disciplinary actions, and all other human resource management activities are carried out effectively and fairly and in compliance with corporate policies.
6. Reviews cost reports, regulatory reports, and other filings to provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and accurate revenue recognition. Submits appeals to regulatory bodies as needed, based on third party audit findings with the filings.
7. Fully understands the implications of the reimbursement methodologies and volumes on business results and provides appropriate business advice as needed. Works with Financial Services teams to field questions and escalate issues related to billing. Monitors and reviews aging of accounts receivables.
8. Ensures reporting meets the ever-changing needs of our customers
9. Acts as a trusted business advisor, providing guidance related to trends in the business environment, reimbursements as well as state and federal guidance.

Qualifications
Education
Minimum: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business/Finance
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience:
Minimum: 7 years of Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3 years Accounting experience. 3 years of management experience.
Preferred: 3+ years of Management experience
