Position Summary

The FP&A Intern supports financial planning and analysis activities for a hospitality organization, with a focus on hotel, resort, or portfolio‑level performance. This role provides hands‑on experience analyzing revenue, labor, and operating costs while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting across lodging and food & beverage operations.

As of the date on which this job advertisement is posted, the Company anticipates that the base hourly range for this role is $25/per hour (undergrad) – $30/per hour (rising senior).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with property‑level and consolidated budgeting and forecasting
  • Support analysis of key hospitality metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, and flow‑through
  • Prepare variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Analyze departmental performance (Rooms, F&B, Sales & Marketing, Labor, G&A)
  • Help prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for operations and leadership
  • Support labor cost analysis, productivity metrics, and staffing models
  • Maintain and update financial models and Excel schedules
  • Partner with property accounting and operations teams to validate data
  • Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis related to pricing, promotions, and cost controls

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic models)
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or experience in hospitality, hotels, or restaurant operations
  • Familiarity with hotel financial statements and department reporting
  • Exposure to hospitality systems such as PMS or POS data (e.g., Opera, Micros)
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, or financial modeling
  • Basic understanding of labor management and revenue management principles
