Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Interim Director of FP&A to immediately impact our clients newly acquired professional services organization. Following a recent private equity acquisition, our client requires a highly analytical, hands-on finance leader to upgrade their financial infrastructure, build reliable revenue analytics, and develop a comprehensive "Data Pack" for Board and Investor reporting.

This role will sit between the senior leadership team and PE stakeholders, delivering actionable insights to drive value creation, focusing on revenue retention, margin expansion, and cash flow forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • PE Data Pack & Reporting: Build and automate executive-level reporting packages (investor data packs) for PE stakeholders, highlighting KPIs, revenue variance, and monthly financial performance.
  • Revenue Insights & Analysis: Develop advanced revenue analytics and modeling tools to analyze client profitability, project contribution margins, and recurring revenue streams.
  • Forecasting & Modeling: Build a robust 13-week rolling cash flow forecast and improve the accuracy of rolling monthly forecasts and the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Strategic Advisory: Partner with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, cost optimizations, and risks, translating financial data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Process Improvement: Modernize FP&A processes, strengthening data integrity and improving the speed and accuracy of financial reporting.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • PE Experience: Strong track record in FP&A leadership roles within PE-backed environments, specifically in professional services or sales driven organizations.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools like Power BI/Tableau).
  • Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to build revenue-focused models (e.g., client/project profitability) from scratch.
  • Communication: Ability to distill complex financial data into insights for investors and the Board of Directors.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or CPA preferred.

Travel: The role would require occasional travel to Florida(likely more at the onset of the engagement).

Must be able to start the role by May 18th or 25th.
