Overview
The firm is seeking to hire an Associate to join its Infrastructure Private Equity investment team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals across the full transaction lifecycle, including origination, execution, portfolio management, and exit processes.
The role offers exposure to a diversified portfolio of infrastructure investments across sectors such as energy transition, renewables, digital infrastructure, transportation, utilities, and environmental services. The position is ideally suited for candidates with prior investment banking, infrastructure advisory, private equity, or infrastructure fund experience who are looking to develop into a well-rounded investor within a dynamic mid-market platform.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution
- Support the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities across the infrastructure sector
- Conduct financial analysis, valuation modelling, scenario analysis, and investment return assessments
- Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and due diligence reports
- Coordinate with external advisors including legal, commercial, tax, technical, and ESG consultants
- Participate in transaction structuring, financing discussions, and negotiations
Investment Screening & Research
- Analyse sectors, market trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitive dynamics
- Conduct industry and company research to identify attractive investment themes
- Monitor infrastructure market developments and comparable transactions
Portfolio Management
- Support active monitoring of portfolio companies and asset performance
- Review financial and operational reporting from portfolio companies
- Assist with strategic initiatives, refinancing processes, bolt-on acquisitions, and exit preparations
- Engage with management teams and operating partners where relevant
Financial Modelling & Analysis
- Build and maintain detailed integrated financial models
- Perform valuation analyses including DCF, precedent transactions, trading comparables, and LBO analysis
- Analyse debt structures and project financing dynamics
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic achievement from a leading university
- 4–6 years of relevant experience within:
- Infrastructure investment banking
- M&A advisory
- Infrastructure private equity
- Project finance
- Energy or infrastructure investing
- Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
- Demonstrated interest in infrastructure and real assets investing
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to infrastructure sectors such as renewables, power, utilities, telecom towers, fibre, transport, or energy transition
- Experience working on cross-border transactions
- Familiarity with project finance and infrastructure capital structures
