Job Summary:
A Leading Manufacturing Firm is looking for a qualified CA or Legal professional with 3–9 years of experience in domestic indirect taxation, primarily focused on Goods and Services Tax (GST). The role involves managing end-to-end GST compliance, providing internal advisory, handling
audits/litigations, and ensuring timely and accurate tax filings in line with Indian tax
regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
● End-to-end GST compliance including preparation, review, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C).
● Conduct reconciliations between books of accounts and GST returns; resolve mismatches in ITC.
● Handle GST assessments, audits, notices, and represent the company before tax
authorities.
● Provide internal advisory on GST implications for transactions, contracts, and new business initiatives.
● Ensure correct classification of goods/services under HSN/SAC codes and proper tax treatment.
● Monitor and interpret changes in GST law and communicate business impact.
● Ensure compliance with Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) and proper documentation.
● Coordinate with external consultants for opinions and litigation matters.
● Support ERP and system automation for indirect tax reporting (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).
Qualifications:
● Chartered Accountant (CA) or Law graduate (LLB) from a recognized institution.
● 3 to 9 years of relevant experience in domestic indirect taxation, with a strong focus on GST.
● Prior experience in handling departmental audits, notices, and litigation is preferred.
● Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax tools is an advantage.
