Pear Talent is representing a high-growth international insurer seeking a Head of Financial Reporting to lead a critical function at the centre of the Group Finance team. This is a rare opportunity in a visible leadership role with responsibility for Group financial reporting, close processes, regulatory reporting oversight and stakeholder engagement at Executive, Board and Audit Committee level.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will lead a team responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across a complex international business, whilst driving process improvement, strengthening controls and supporting the continued evolution of the finance function.

Key accountabilities:
- Lead the Group financial close and reporting process
- Oversee statutory, regulatory and management reporting activities
- Manage external audit relationships and reporting deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement, automation and control enhancements
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
- Review and implement accounting policies, reporting processes and controls
- Lead and develop reporting teams whilst fostering a high-performance culture
Required experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent)
- Extensive Insurance financial reporting experience within a regulated environment in non-Life Insurance/Reinsurance, Lloyd's or General insurance
- Proven track record leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong experience delivering statutory, regulatory and Group reporting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong communication, leadership and relationship management skills
- Ability to operate effectively at Executive, Board and Audit Committee level
- Passion for process improvement, controls enhancement and driving change within finance function
