Overview
A financial technology platform is seeking a senior accounting operations leader to oversee finance shared services, general ledger ownership, month-end close, accounting operations, and process improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who has managed through layers and can bring structure, scalability, and operational discipline to a growing finance organization.
The position will lead a multi-level accounting team, support close and reporting processes, strengthen policies and controls, and partner cross-functionally on audits, systems, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities
- Oversee general ledger ownership, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting operations
- Manage a multi-level accounting team, including leaders who manage teams underneath them
- Support GAAP-compliant reporting, audit requests, controls, and internal accounting policies
- Drive process improvement, automation, ERP initiatives, and scalable accounting operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong General Ledger, month-end close, journal entry, and accounting operations experience
- Proven people leadership experience, including managing managers
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, audit processes, and controls
- Oracle experience preferred
- Financial services or technology industry experience preferred, but not required
