Job Summary:
- Lead all accounting, financial reporting, and operational oversight for the Business Development Company (BDC) platform, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and review of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings, including financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting schedules.
- Manage the calculation and review of NAV, investment activity, management and incentive fees, credit facility accounting, and complex investment transactions across the BDC portfolio.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, valuation specialists, and internal stakeholders to support audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance initiatives.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting processes to support a scalable, best-in-class finance organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while partnering closely with the CFO, investment professionals, legal, compliance, treasury, and investor relations on strategic initiatives and new transactions.
- Drive special projects including new fund launches, acquisitions, system implementations, process improvements, and other initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
- 20-30+ years of experience from a Publicly traded BDC/Direct Lending firm
- CPA Licensed
